Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles came out August 2, 2023 and Microsoft's MakeCode made a turtle-inspired game to celebrate. If you haven't heard of MakeCode, it's a free platform that teaches computer science skills. Coding is being marketed as the new literacy. So if your child enjoys tech, MakeCode is an excellent tool to help them learn to read, write, and think in code.

MakeCode is just one of the many internet-based softwares for new programmers of any age. The platform offers several tutorials. Pizza Party is a multiplayer game, so it's one of the more advanced projects on the platform. But MakeCode gives step-by-step instructions on how to code using visual coding blocks. During the process, your child can learn code-related terms like arrays, sprites, loops, variables, assets, and more. If your child is familiar with coding languages, the software also allows them to edit in Python or Javascript. In the end, you'll have a fully functional game that your child built and your family can play together.

Unfortunately I couldn't find a direct link to the game. When you visit the MakeCode website, scroll down to find the pizza party tutorial. It will look like this.
