September In Boston (With Kids)

Boston September Guide For Families

Ahhh September!! The month where school buses return and the weather is perfect (for our hair). In this post we’ve compiled some super cool experiences for you and your little one to fall (pun intended) in love with.

Let’s start with story times at the library. They never get old. They’re 30 to 90 minutes long and are designed to make sure parents remember which day it is.

September also has events that encourage you to play with bots, touch a truck, be a princess, build a microscope, or try a kayak. Now that it’s getting cooler, spending the evening at the museum also sounds nice. The ICA, Discovery, and Isabella Gardner have them for free.

For our fellow homebodies, we’ve gathered some books with a September theme. We also have lists for Grandparent's Day, National Dance Day, and World Afro Day.

Please do not feel pressure to do anything this month. You can totally take these 30 days to simmer in your own thoughts and reminisce about the times you could use the bathroom without a tiny hand reaching into the toilet. Whatever your current situation is, I’m sure we can relate.

Until next time…
