Scratch Camp is a free 3 week opportunity for kids to familiarize themselves with Scratch (a coding software). It usually starts around August 1st and hopes to support summer learning, offer coding challenges, and facilitate creative expression. This year's theme is “Space, Stars, & Beyond.” Campers will get to create their own and remix existing space-themed projects. Projects are then submitted online to the Main Camp Scratch Studio. The Camp studio is also a place to interact with other Scratchers and Camp Counselors, get ideas, gain inspiration, and ask questions. According to Scratch Wiki, Scratch camp started in 2011 and is hosted every summer on the platform. For more details visit here.

If you've never heard of Scratch and want a sneak peak of what it can do, the following video shows how to code a character designer.
