The Children's Fountain is a beautiful space on the Christian Science Plaza. It features water jets that spray as high as 40 feet in the air forming aquatic arches that can be seen from the street. Although the Children's Fountain is privately owned, it was designed to be a welcoming play area for families.

The flooring is mainly red bricks, but includes sections of black granite which can get quite slippery when wet. Many children run bare foot, but consider bringing (or wearing) water shoes to minimize falls. There are sporadic trees for shading and concrete benches that can be used for seating.

According to Mapparium staff, the children's fountain may be weather dependent. This means that it opens and closes for the season depending on the weather, but the staff person we spoke to was not confident this was fully accurate. According to Boston Central, the children's fountain opens around May 1st and closes around November 1st.

Parking is metered.
