Gertrude Howes Playground

Princess Day is a special day for girls in Boston. Families bring their little ones to Gertrude playground dressed in tutus, superhero costumes, and full princess attire. It's a day full of crown and sash making, face painting, dancing, playing, and other fun activities.

This year's event was postponed to Saturday, September 16, 2023 due to weather. Then cancelled. Their website reads "We are sorry to say that Princess Day: Celebrating Little Girls of Color scheduled for Saturday 9/16 is canceled. For safety concerns, the City of Boston has canceled all public and outside activities and events. Please stay tuned for other Princess Day events this year."
