Institute of Contemporary Art (ICA)

Explore contemporary art, artists and the creative process. Tickets are available at 10am the day of.


  • Don't forget to ask visitor services for sketching supplies. In the warmer months, step outside to the Grandstand to draw inspiration from the harbor.

  • Try ICA Gallery Games for looking at and talking about the art on view. Visit the Family Library in the Poss Family Mediatheque to browse kids books about art, creativity, architecture, and more.

  • Encourage curious children to imagine what an artwork feels like and how it was made rather than touching.


Parking can get tricky. There's a new parking garage behind the ICA that costs $17 after 5:00pm.
