Museum of Science

Visit the Museum of Science for a science-based show the whole family will love. Presentations range from super-cold science, live animals and ecology, archaeology and more. Arrive 10 minutes early to secure a seat.

This program is typically offered in the fall. Always check the museum's daily schedule to see current live presentations.

After the presentation is done, continue to explore the rest of the museum. The Discovery Room, the Hall of Human Life and the Engineering Design Workshop all offer pop-up activities you may also enjoy.

For free admission, consider reserving museum passes from your local library. If you really enjoy your visit, you can also get a membership $100-$235, which pays for itself after a few visits. Premium members get 2 hours of free parking. Otherwise parking (in their attached lot) ranges from $15-$40.

About FamilyFun

We're collecting cool experiences in (and around) the city -- and sharing them with you! Think of us as matchmakers between awesome programming and young families looking to create sweet memories!

If you're ever looking for kid-friendly events — we’ll be here!! You can visit our calendar anytime to find tons of free (and close to free) things to do in Boston.

While we try our best to update content, information changes faster than we can keep up.
For example, events have been cancelled or postponed due to low-to-no attendance, weather, other events and emergencies. We may also unintentionally make a mistake. Please confirm details before heading out with your little one(s). You can do so by clicking on the "source" button below the map above. If you choose to sign up for different events, the organizations will often reach out to you directly.

Event images belong to their respective owners and are used under CC BY-SA 3.0. We intentionally blur non-stock images of children and families for privacy. If you know of an event you think our visitors will love, please let us know here.  And if we listed your event and you would like it removed, please reach out here.
