Prime Grocery Subscription Calculator

Updated: Jan 29

Enter your order frequency and size to figure out if Prime's grocery subscription is right for you!

The above calculator uses a full priced Prime membership. You can check out student and other discount subscriptions here. While we try our best to update information, please know that rates and fees can change at any time. This means that our calculator may have errors or omissions. Please refer to Amazon's website for the latest details. The above calculate uses data we've found as of January 26, 2025.

Where to find how often you order groceries from Amazon?

Log into Amazon > Returns and Orders > Local Orders. Choose a year from the drop down, and the total number of grocery orders should appear.

Who is the grocery subscription great for?

We think Amazon's grocery service is perfect for families with small children. It serves as an extra hand in making sure family kitchens are always stocked. The service can also be super convenient for people who may not shop as often, but appreciate having groceries delivered to them.

What is missing from Amazon Prime's grocery subscription?

While Amazon has pre-cooked soups, sides, and individual meals available to order online, the company has not offered the ability to order from Whole Food's salad bar and hot bar (at least not yet in our area). This means you may not be able to order custom salads, freshly made pizzas, burgers, and other ready-made family faves.

Amazon has partnered with GrubHub, so you may be able to buy meals from local restaurants. We're not the biggest fans, because GrubHub uses DoorDash drivers, but if you're interested, you can learn more about the service here.
