    Girls Learn To Play 2024 $199 Ages 5-10 Photo: NHL Learn To Play Tuesday, Feb 13 12:00pm Warrior Ice Arena Yearly Looking for a fun winter sport? The Boston Bruins runs an all-girls program for young people to advance their hockey skills. Registration for the Spring 2024 program opens Tuesday, February 13, 2024 at 12:00pm. The program is intended for first-time participants only. This means if your child has participated in the past, they may not be eligible. Skating lessons are highly recommended as players should have some prior experience skating on ice. The $199 registration fee includes skates, a full set of hockey equipment, a professional fitting and 4 weeks on ice with certified coaches. The program does recommend you purchase a mouth guard . We've linked to Amazon, an online retailer that makes it super convenient to order from a wide selection online and get the product delivered to your front door. You can totally find mouth guards at your local sporting goods store if you prefer.     Lilac Sunday Free Family-Friendly Photo: The Arnold Arboretum Sunday, May 12 10:00am - 3:00pm Arnold Arboretum Yearly Have you ever smelled a lilac? Lilacs have this soft flowery scent that fills the air without having to get too close. Visiting the Arnold Arboretum on Lilac Sunday is the perfect way to familiarize yourself with the flower. You'll witness the Arnold Arboretum's collection of over 400 lilacs. The day will also include tours with Arboretum experts, hands-on children’s programming, and more. Bring a blanket, some water and snacks. The paths at the Arboretum are also stroller and kid-bike friendly. What is the Arnold Arboretum? It's an outdoor museum of trees and botanicals from all over the world. On this day, visitors get to immerse themselves in the colors, blossoms, and aromas of Spring. Below is a short 4 minute video with up-close and bird's eye views of the Arboretum landscape. We also included some cute Instagram photos of this year's lilacs.
