Babies and toddlers will explore different stations around the room with rattles, bells, mirrors, sensory bins, and other toys. Every Friday until August. For ages 0-2.


Recreational Swim @ BCYF Flaherty

July 1st to 31st


Family-friendly swim every Tuesday through Friday.


Summer Friday Nights Free @ Discovery Museum

July 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd, 29th


Experience hands-on STEM learning every Friday at the Discovery Museum. Reservations are required.

Late Nights @ The Museum of Science

This museum is regularly open late on Fridays. Have a blast exploring hands-on science exhibits. For all ages. Call to reserve tickets (617) 723-2500.


Art Lab: Comic Book Adventure with Your Family @ Apple Natick

July (multiple dates)


Kids will have a blast creating a comic book story to keep the planet safe. Devices will be provided.

Adults must stay during the 2-hour session. Kids will get a Camp T-shirt and certificate at the end.


Kid's Workshop @ Home Depot

Meet the Beekeepers @ Boston Nature Center

Family Service Day @ MSPCA

July 3rd

$20 (per session)

Adult-child pairs get hands-on experience volunteering at an animal shelter. Tasks include cleaning cages, doing laundry and other animal care chores. For ages 6-10.


Harvard Art Museums

July 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th, 31st


Gain a deeper understanding of art history by observing original works of art.


$1 Sunday Afternoons @ Boston Children's Museum

$1 (per person)

$1 admission is back at the museum. Children under 12 months are always free. Online registration required.


Night at the Trailside Museum for DCR Summer Nights

July 6th, 13th, 20th, 27th


Enjoy hands-on nature, art-making activities and nighttime encounters with captive wildlife such as a fox, hawks, owls, deer, and the newly opened river otter exhibit.

Free 1st Thursdays @ Isabella Gardner Museum

Explore art, architecture, + seasonal horticulture in the Palace. Visit the studio between 5-9pm for hands-on art-making activities.


Family Programs at Dorchester Park - 5 Senses & the Natural World

Experience hands-on, minds-on explorations with your family. There will be a different theme each session as families walk, play games, investigate, and learn from nature.
