First Friday Nights Free @ Discovery Museum

Explore the Museum and Discovery Woods with free admission on the first Friday night of each month throughout the school year.


Reel Fun Fishing Day at Deer Island

Visit Deer Island for a day of fishing + fun! Family-friendly.


Free Freshwater Fishing Weekend

No license is required to fish in Massachusetts (this weekend only). Family-friendly.

Art Lab for Kids: Make Your Own Emoji @ Apple Legacy Place

June 6th


Kids will learn fun ways to create their own emoji. They’ll get hands-on using the Procreate app on iPad with Apple Pencil to draw an emoji to take home. Devices will be provided.


Little Bookworms @ MSPCA

June 7th, 14th, 21st

$5 (per child)

Have animal-themed fun reading stories, singing songs, and even meeting an adoptable pet. Every Tuesday in the Education Room. For ages 1 to pre-k.


Safari on D @ Lawn on D

June 11th


Stop by the Lawn on D to see a 23-foot animated T-Rex, some cool reptiles, inflatables, magicians, face painting, puppeteers + more.

Neponset Day

Late Nights @ The Museum of Science

June 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th

Free (for 4 people with museum pass)

This museum is regularly open late on Fridays. Have a blast exploring hands-on science exhibits. For all ages.

$1 admission is back at the museum. Children under 12 months are always free. Online registration required.


Eliot School Yard Concert: Dis N Dat Band

June 5th, 12th, 19th, 26th

Free ($10-$20 suggested donation)

The Eliot School's live outdoor concerts are back for the summer. Bring a chair -- Sundays until September.


Juneteenth @ Museum of Fine Arts

June 20th


Visit the museum for drop-in art making, talks, and galleries celebrating Juneteenth. Tickets are free for MA residents on a first-come, first-serve basis.
