History
The Boston Firefighters Credit Union (BFCU) was founded sometime between 1947 and 1948. Their sole purpose was to help "financially struggling firefighters," but over the years they have grown to serve other Boston emergency responders -- including police officers, emergency medical services (EMS), and Suffolk County Sheriffs.
