When is the daily high typically reached?

The daily high is typically reached mid-day between 12:00pm and 4:00pm. A high temperature can also be reached at midnight, early in the morning, and even late in the evening.

Which weather forecast is the most reliable?

Different contracts use different weather sources. You'll want to read the event contract description to see which weather source the contract relies on for the result. Robinhood has used Weather Underground and Weather [dot] gov.

Are forecasted highs accurate?

Forecasted highs can differ from the actual highs by ~10° . The forecast also updates throughout the day (depending on the source used).

Can you find daily high contracts through Robinhood's search?

Not as of March 8, 2026 -- but this may change. Since daily high temperature contracts only last 24-hours, they may not appear in the search results. For example, if you type "Boston daily high" or even ask Robinhood's AI chat bot about the contract -- it may yield no results. Other weather contracts like monthly snow and monthly rain predictions can be found through search.

How are daily temperature high contracts different from monthly weather contracts?

Daily temperature high contracts only charge ($0.01) per contract. Monthly contracts (like the snow and rain predictions) are in collaboration with Kalshi, so there is an exchange and commission fee which totals ($0.02 per contract).

How to recover from a loss?

If you notice a trade dipping, you can sell to minimize losses and enter into a winning contract. Robinhood charges exit fees ($0.01 - $0.02) for closing a contract before payout.
