6 Books Worth Singing

Inspired by Harriet Tubman, who used song as code.

After singing a song three times in-a-row our two year old still says, "Again, Mommy!" As exhausting as it is, I’m so grateful our girls enjoy my voice. Here are the cutest song books that are prefect for bedtime lullabies.

1. He’s Got the Whole World In His Hands

Illustrated by one of my favorite artists, Kadir Nelson, this book has beautiful pictures to go along with this classic spiritual.

2. Mary Had A Little Glam

A spin on Mary Had a Little Lamb, this story follows a little girl with a lot of style.

3. Old Mikamba Had A Farm

The perfect book to learn about African animals and sing their sounds.

4. Hush Little Baby

The cutest story about a little girl who can’t wait until her mother comes home. In the meantime, her father and brother try to entertain and keep her from crying.

5. Just The Two Of Us

Will Smith’s song dedicated to his son in book form. It shares his journey as a new dad.

6. Every Little Thing

Despite life’s lows, this boy is reminded “every little thing is gonna be alright.” Another beautifully illustrated book, based on Bob’s Marley’s “Three Little Birds.”

Until next time...

Peace & Love,
