Boston Children's Museum

Take an hour guided kayak tour of Fort Point Channel. After a safety talk and brief paddle instruction on land, your L.L.Bean guides will launch you in your own kayak.

This activity is for 8+ year olds with an adult. While the activity is free, you must pay for admission to the Children's Museum to enjoy it. You can get half-off with a library pass, or pay regular admission -- $20 for anyone over 12 months old. Buying a membership can be a great option, if you plan on visiting the museum over and over again.

Consider wearing water shoes or shoes that can get wet (closed-toe recommended), and bringing water (for drinking).

All necessary paddling and safety equipment is provided. There are two time slots offered. You can sign up here.

The museum is easily accessible by public transportation. We love the commuter rail, because it's clean, spacious and a train!! If you prefer to drive, 4-hour metered parking ($2/hr) can be found on Congress Street, just a short walk from the museum. There are also 3 parking garages ($25-$45) that the museum discounts (Stillings Street Garage, Farnsworth Street Garage, Atlantic Wharf Parking Garage). Below is the museum's parking map.
